La Belle Époque

DAVE & LA BELLE ÉPOQUE is an IMRSV Blue passion project rooted in the sophisticated West Coast sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — a world where jazz, soul and fusion meet exceptional studio musicianship.

Drawing inspiration from artists and musicians such as Bill Champlin, Jay Graydon, David Sanborn, Pages, Airplay and Christopher Cross, the music is melodic, groove-driven and meticulously crafted, while always leaving room for the individual character and expression of each musician.

The group features Per Lindvall on drums, Lars Danielsson on bass, Henrik Janson on guitar, Andreas Gidlund on saxophone and Jesper Nordenström on piano and keyboards. David Stenmarck composes and produces the music, with Fredrik Landh as producer and mixer.

The album was recorded over two days at IMRSV Studio, capturing the spirit of the classic Los Angeles studio sessions — tight grooves, rich harmonies, refined arrangements and expressive playing. That heritage is filtered through a contemporary Scandinavian sensibility, shaped by the distinctive chemistry of the musicians in the room.
